How to record video to SD card when motion is triggered?

Step 1    SD card setup.

  1. Double-click Network Camera | Microseven icon to open M7CMS.

  2. Enter User ID and Password, our default User ID and Password are ‘admin‘ and ‘password‘.Network Camera | Microseven
  3. Right click on the live camera screen to pull up the short-cut menu and select ‘Properties’, or click the camera name link of Camera List. Camera Setup Properties dialog pops up.
  4. Go to ‘System > Storage‘ tab, to confirm your SD card on camera is available.Network Camera | Microseven

    Network Camera | Microseven Please make sure there is a SD card information in the tab.

  5. Go to ‘Recording > Record Options‘ tab, recommandation values are:Network Camera | Microseven
    1. Disk full event: Overwrite
    2. Pre-record status: Off
    3. Recording file length (10-30): 10 mins
    4. Minumun hard disk space: 300 MB
    5. Dual stream: Off
    6. Then click ‘Apply‘.

Step 2    Camera motion detection setup.

  1. Go to ‘Detection > Motion Detection‘ tab.Network Camera | Microseven
  2. Click ‘Set motion detect areaNetwork Camera | Microseven
  3. Click ‘Select All‘ then click ‘OK‘.Network Camera | Microseven
  4. Go back to ‘Detection > Motion Detection‘ tab.Network Camera | Microseven
    1. Check Recording ‘Channel 1′
    2. Check ‘Set motion detect on schedule
    3. Only ‘Set duration 1‘ to 12:00:00 AM to 11:59:59 PM
  5. Click Apply.

  6. Then click ‘Apply to everyday‘.

  7. Exit properties configuration page and go back to main window.Network Camera | Microseven

Step 3    Record video to SD card when motion is triggered.

  1. Trigger motion on.Network Camera | Microseven
  2. While motion is detected, video will have red frame alert and the real video will be recorded to SD card.Network Camera | Microseven
  3. The real videos of triggered moment are recorded to SD card.

Step 4    Query and playback recording videos on SD card.
