Setting Up Port Forwarding for Viewing Your Microseven Network Camera Over the Internet
How many ports need to open for port forwarding (against firewall)?
For Microseven network camera, there are web port, password port and video ports need to do port forwarding:
- Web port default is 80
- Password port (device) default is 9660
- Video port default is 9661
For example, IP address configuration for LAN is 192.168.1.201:
Then, port forwording is 80 for 192.168.1.201,
port forwarding is 9660-9661 for 192.168.1.201
If you have internet IP address is 74.212.249.249,
then you view your Microseven network camera on the internet is http://74.212.249.249
For demo Microseven network camera port forwarding is http://74.212.249.249:7777
The following example is 3 cameras, for port forwarding. A Netgear router uses 3 IP address for cameras:
- 192.168.1.201 for first camera.
- 192.168.1.202 for second camera.
- 192.168.1.203 for third camera.
Step 1 Go to port forwarding.

Step 2 Click on ‘Add Custom Service’, then go to next page.

- Enter ‘cam1‘ in Service Name.
- Service Type is ‘TCP/UDP‘.
- Starting Port is ‘81‘.
- Ending Port is ‘81‘.
- Server IP Address is ‘192.168.1.201‘.

- Click ‘Apply‘.
Step 3 Go to next page, Updating Settings.


Step 4 Now, Click on ‘Add Custom Service’ again to add password port and video ports.
- Set Service Name as ‘cam1_video‘.
- Set Service Type as ‘TCP/UDP‘.
- Starting Port is ‘9660‘.
- Ending Port is ‘9665‘.
- Server IP Address is 192.168.1.201‘.

- And then click ‘Apply‘.

Now, the first camera port forwarding setup is completed.
Step 5 Then, do the second Microseven network camera.
