RTSP for 4 ports dvs and primary streaming / secondary streaming URL

there are 4 ports on your dvs.
example, if your ip camera (microseven network camera) address is
192.168.1.201

then:

using 4 cameras feed rtsp to your zoneminder:
cam1 rtsp://192.168.1.201/ch=0
cam2 rtsp://192.168.1.201/ch=1
cam3 rtsp://192.168.1.201/ch=2
cam4 rtsp://192.168.1.201/ch=3

if it is single microseven network camera only
cam rtsp://192.168.1.201/

there are primary streaming is
rtsp://192.168.1.201/sl=0
and secondary streaming is
rtsp://192.168.1.201/sl=1


Channel [ch] and slave [slave] together in URL is
rtsp://192.168.1.201:554/ch=3slave=1

1. M7CMS Installation

1.1 System Requirement

1.1.1 Hardware

  • Intel Dual Core 2 – 3.4 GHz
  • Memory 2GB or more
  • Intel Motherboard Series
  • Hard disk: 160 GB available space for installation
  • Power Supply 500W
  • XGA (1024 x 768) or higher resolution monitor
  • Separate graphics card, 256 MB or more memory
  • 100 MB Ethernet with a static IP address

1.1.2 Software

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2, 2000 (SP4), 2003 Server (SP1), Vista, Windows 7
  • DirectX 9.0c or later

1.1.3 Minimum recommended requirements for a full 16 camera system

  • Dual XEON 3GHz, 1,024 MB RAM, Multiple SCSI disks
  • 1,000 MB Ethernet backbone

1.2 Software Installation

Before installation, please ensure you have downloaded M7CMSSetupFull3.4xxBeta.exe from Microseven website. Otherwise, please go to http://www.microseven.com, download it from your download page after log in.

Note: Before start Microseven camera software installation, please make sure DirectX Driver has been installed to your Windows OS.

1.2.1 M7CMS

M7CMS, it will provide to view live M7 cameras, playback record videos, configuration M7 camera settings, and updating firmware remotely.

  1. Double-click on the setup application iconsetup icon M7CMSSetupFull3.4xxBeta.
  2. The Setup Wizard will appear. Click ‘Next’ button to continue.

  3. Specify a destination folder for the software. Click ‘Next’ button to continue.

  4. Specify a destination folder for record and snapshot file on this PC. Click ‘Next’ button to continue.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation

  6. There is M7CMS icon m7cmson your desktop of Windows OS.

1.2.2 M7 CAM Locator

M7 camera search tool, it will help you to find out cameras on the local subnet and all the devices with router that support multicast traffic.
M7CMSSetupFull3.4xx.exe is a full installation package for Microseven M7CMS software. If you have selected to completely setup, then M7 CAM Locator will have been installed automatically. Also, you can select for only download M7 CAM Locator setup program at www.microseven.com on your download page.
Please follow the steps to install M7 CAM Locator

  1. Double-click on the setup application icon setup icon M7CamLocatorSetup3.xx.
  2. The Setup Wizard will appear. Click ‘Next’ button to continue.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

    You will find M7 Cam Locator icon m7 cam locator on your desktop of Windows OS.

1.2.3 M7 Media Player

Microseven Media Player will help you to play camera videos which are recorded by M7CMS or M7IE.
After M7CMSSetupFull3.4xx.exe has been setup completely, you will find M7 Media Player icon M7 Media Player on your desktop of Windows OS.

M7IE and M7CMS log in username and password

Software log in security for users instruction:

M7IE -> username and password is for network camera if user want to access to network camera.
Only one layer of username and password, default is username / password.

M7CMS -> 2 layers of username and password, one for M7CMS systems, and the second one is for M7IE username and password.

First layer is M7CMS users layer for M7CMS (M7 camera management systems), this username and password is for M7CMS systems which can control multiple network cameras. Multiple network cameras are over the network (WLAN or LAN and etc.). Each network camera has their own username and password.

Second layer is for each camera in M7CMS, you need to use network camera M7IE useraname and password when you set up camera display window in M7CMS.
