How To Add A Camera To Microseven CMS (CamID/PIN) Session 2

Step 1. Double click on Microseven CMS icon

Step 2. When Microseven CMS window opened, click on “Add Camera …”

Step 3. A popup dialogue window opened, select on “Add Camera” and click “OK”

Step 4. Enter CamID and PIN (1 & 2 on the snapshot). You can find it in a mobile app for CamID and PIN if the camera is a remote location. (How to find the CamID and PIN at the mobile app)

How to find a camID on the mobile app

Step 1 Go to Live Cameras in the mobile app to select a camera for CamID and PIN, tap on cam properties icon below the image of the camera

Step 2 Click on Edit Camera in the next page, tap on it and open and go to the next page

Step 3 You are going to find the CamID and PIN in the Edit Camera page

How To Add A Camera To Microseven CMS (IP/Hostname)

Step 1. Double click on Microseven CMS icon

Step 2. When Microseven CMS window opened, click on “Add Camera …”

Step 3. A popup dialogue window opened, select on “Add Camera” and click “OK”

Step 4. After Microseven Camera window opened, click on “Search”, select the camera you want to add in CMS then select “Select”

Step 5. An IP address is added by selected in the field “”IP/Hostname”. In Cam UserID, enter “admin” is a default, if you have changed it, you have to enter it using your own. In Password, enter “password” is a default, if you have changed it, you must enter your new password. Then click on “Add”

Step 6. A camera added, click “OK”

Step 7. Click “OK” on the popup window to add another camera or “Close”

Step 8. Finished

How To Check The Camera’s Network Hardware Status

This post is not for how to set up a camera in the network.

Step 1. Use a Windows 10 computer, go to search, enter “view network connections”

Step 2. A window pop up, you see the connection icon, unplug the Ethernet cable from the computer, and the icon will change to “disconnected” status.

Step 3. Connect an Ethernet cable from the camera to the computer Ethernet port, if you see the icon is changed to “connected”, it means camera network hardware is good status.

How to retrieve clips from microSD card

Step 1. Open Microseven CMS, you have set up video ready in CMS. Then you will select a video, move the mouse on it. Do right mouse button click to bring up a popup window (camera properties window)

Step 2. Check if the camera has a microSD card in it.

Step 3. Go to “Recording” and “Record Query”, then click on “Query”.

Step 4. Find a clip, highlight it, and double click on the clip to bring up an inline playback video clip in the inline player.

Step 5. An inline player is playing clips.

Step 6. You can choice download a clip or all clips from a camera to your PC.
