How to find the sd card installed in the camera:

Go to a browser window to enter the camera IP address, after you log in to the camera, go to ‘SYSTEM’ -> ‘Storage’ from the menu. You will find the information if the sd card has been installed and mounted in the system in the camera.

How To Use M7 Protocol Adding Cam To M7NVR-5MP08 NVR

Add a cam via M7(P2) is an automatically added through searching, cam name and password method. All the information must be correct while it is added.

Step1. Click on right button on the mouse to bring up the bottom-bar. Then, click on cam-icon to add a camera to the NVR.

Step2. Let us delete a camera in the system with ONVIF, and add the same camera using M7 (P2) protocol. The camera IP address is 192.168.1.45 in this example.

Step3. Now, click on the ‘Search’ button to add a camera to the system.

Step4. Find the camera IP address 192.168.1.45, check on the row in the checkbox. Then click on ‘Add’.

Step5. The ‘Add’ is clicked.

Step6. Fill out the camera name and camera password. The default camera name: ‘admin’ and camera password: ‘password.’

Step7. Use a virtual keyboard to enter the camera credential.

Step8. Click ‘Ok’ to save.

Step9. Now the camera IP 192.168.1.45 is added. Protocol is M7 (P2) and Status is ‘Connect success.’ Then click on ‘Exit’ to complete.

Step10. A camera is added using M7 (P2).

How To Use ONVIF Adding Cam To M7NVR-5MP08 NVR

Step1. Click screen use right mouse button to popup a bottom bar.

Step2. Click on cam-icon at middle of the bottom bar.

Step3. Click on Edit-icon in the operation column.

Step4. Add a camera in ONVIF protocol, ONVIF port is 8080 by default. Make sure you fill the correct camera username and camera password, default are ‘admin’ as name; ‘password’ as password.

Step5. Check the status if it is ‘connect success’. A camera is added.

How To Install A WD Purple Hard Drive To M7NVR-5MP08 NVR

Step1: A WD Purple hard drive, hard drive space up to 6TB; A PH1 screwdriver. 4x hard drive screws.

Must have a WD Purple surveillance hard drive.

Step2: Open the box. Unscrew 4x black case screws. Two screws from sides, and two screws from the back of the box.

Step3: To install a WD Purple hard drive, follow the snapshots, use a screwdriver and place the hard drive in the correct position in the box and ties on the box bottom using 4x screws.

Step4: Check WD purple hard drive installed in correct position. 4x hard drive screws are just soft tied. A power cable and a SATA cable are connected well to the hard drive.

And now it is ready to close the box cover.

Step5: Complete the hard drive installation and ready to connect power and Ethernet cable to the M7NVR-5MP08 NVR set it up.

You must get a WD PURPLE SURVEILLANCE HARD DRIVE installed. The HDD indicator lights up while the recording takes place.

How To Make Recording On The PC

How to make recoding on the PC?

Step1: Clik on “Set Schedule” button.

Step2: “Set Schedule” window is opened. Select the recording type, and fill the color in the grid. Check on checked box “Schedule record enable” and fill the days in the “Keep recording video files for”. Then click on “Browse” button to open “Browse for Folder” window.

Step3: “Browse for Folder” windows is opened. Choose the path and select “Ok.”

Step4: Check on “Schedule REC”. The recording now is on. The red radio indicator is on.

Step5: Click on “View playback” icon, then “Playback” window is opened. Select data and time wait for the video show up in the list.

Step6: Hit play button to play the playback.
