How To Set Up The NVR v2

Hardware setup

1. Get a monitor ready.

2. Connect a HDMI cable to the NVR from the monitor.

3. Connect an Ethernet cable to the NVR from router.
Connect a mouse to the USB on the NVR.

4. Connect the power cord to NVR to start the boot screen and wait for 60 seconds.

5. A blue multiple channels screen is ready. If the camera is a POE camera, you can now connect it to the one of ports via an Ethernet cable. If the camera is a wifi camera, you do not need to have a cable to connect to the NVR.

Software setup

Turn off the buzzer

1. Go to monitor and use the mouse. Move the mouse to the top of the screen, it is an information bar. You would choose 16:9 screen to set up the NVR display.

2. Move the mouse on the monitor screen, and click on the right mouse button to bring up the configuration pop window. Click on ‘Configure’.

3. Select ‘Event Setup’, you are going to turn off the buzzer from the NVR if it is too noisy.

4. Enter the password: ‘password’.
Default password is ‘password’.

5. Go to the dropdown list at the left and top of the screen, choose ‘System’.

6. Go to uncheck the ‘Buzzer’ to turn off the noise.

Adjust the monitor resolution as high as possible

7. Move the mouse on the monitor screen, and click on the right mouse button to bring up the configuration pop window. Click on ‘Configure’.

8. Select ‘System Setup’, you are going to set up the monitor display resolution.

9. Enter the password: ‘password’.
Default password is: ‘password’.

10. click on ‘Monitor Setup …’ to open an adjust pop window.

11. Adjust the monitor resolution.

Add a camera to the NVR and record the videos and save them on the hard drive disk. Use a WD purple surveillance HDD

12. Move the mouse on the monitor screen, and click on the right mouse button to bring up the configuration pop window. Click on ‘Configure’.

13. Select ‘Camera Setup’, you are going to add the first camera to NVR for recording.

14. Enter the password: ‘password’.
Default password is: ‘password’.

15. Click ‘Search’ icon to find cameras.

16. The cameras found, click ‘+’ to add a camera below in the list.

17. A camera is added. If the camera password needs to change, you can click ‘Edit’ to pop up the edit camera properties window.

18. You can edit the camera settings in the ‘Modify Setting’ window.

19. Add the first camera in the CH1 position on the display.

20. The first camera is display on the CH1 on the monitor.

21. Now we are going to add the second camera. Click ‘Search’ icon to find cameras.

22. A camera is added. If the camera password needs to change, you can click ‘Edit’ to pop up the edit camera properties window.

23. You can edit the camera settings in the ‘Modify Setting’ window.

24. Add the second camera in the CH2 position on the display.

25. The second camera is display on the CH2 on the monitor.

Software download and its use on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS App

1. Click the ‘Cam Locator’ icon on the desktop to open Cam Locator.

2. Find cameras in the Cam Locator.

3. Highlight the NVR IP address and click ‘Open’. You can find and download the NVR software for all the platforms.
