This guide will walk you through unboxing and installing your Microseven IP Camera, including installing the WiFi antenna, setting up the SD card, connecting power, selecting PoE options, mounting, and adjusting the camera angle.
📦 What’s Included in the Box
When you open the box, you should find:
- Microseven IP Camera
- WiFi Antenna
- Power Adapter
- Mounting Screws and Wall Anchors
- Allen Wrench (Hex Key)
- Software (Windows CMS – Mac download available online)
- Contact Information Card
📡 Installing the WiFi Antenna
- Locate the WiFi antenna in the package.
- Remove the protective plastic cap from the antenna connector.
- Screw the antenna securely onto the camera.
- Adjust the antenna position for optimal signal strength.
💾 Installing the Micro SD Card
- Locate the SD card cover on the top of the camera.
- Unscrew the protective lid.
- Insert a Micro SD card into the slot (the same type used in most smartphones).
- If it does not click into place, remove and flip the card.
- Once inserted correctly, screw the cover back on securely.
Note: The cover includes a rubber O-ring to maintain water resistance.
🔌 Connecting Power and Network
Your camera includes multiple cable connectors:
1) Power Adapter
- Connect the round white power connector labeled Power.
- Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
2) Ethernet (LAN) Connection
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect to the square LAN port.
- Ideal for stable wired network connection.
3) PoE (Power over Ethernet)
If using a PoE switch or injector:
- You do NOT need the power adapter.
- Power and network will run through the Ethernet cable.
4) Optional Audio Connections
- Microphone and speaker connectors are optional.
- Connect only if using two-way audio features.
🛠 Mounting the Camera
- Use the included screws and wall anchors (Mollies).
- Align the camera base with your mounting surface.
- Secure using the three mounting holes.
🎥 Adjusting the Camera Angle
The camera includes multiple adjustment points:
Side Allen Screw (Left/Right Rotation)
- Loosen to rotate the camera left or right.
- Tighten after adjusting.
Dual Side Screws (Up/Down Tilt)
- Loosen both screws.
- Adjust the vertical tilt.
- Tighten securely once positioned.
Front Adjustment Screw (Fine Positioning)
- Fine-tunes head positioning.
- Usually not required unless repositioning after installation.
